Salad Ingredients

  • 12 ounces tri-color rotini pasta
  • 8-ounce block of cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 cup cooked and chopped bacon
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup lunch meat ham, diced
  • 1 cup lunch meat turkey, diced

Dressing

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the tri-color rotini pasta until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain the pasta and rinse thoroughly under cold water to stop the cooking and cool the pasta completely. Transfer the cooled pasta to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add the cubed cheddar cheese, diced tomato, cooked and chopped bacon, chopped lettuce, diced ham, and diced turkey to the bowl with the pasta.
  3. Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the ranch seasoning packet until well combined and creamy.
  4. Toss the Salad: Pour the dressing over the pasta and meat mixture and toss everything together gently but thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly coated with the ranch mayonnaise dressing.
  5. Chill and Serve: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the salad for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld. Before serving, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Serve chilled and enjoy your club sandwich pasta salad!

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, consider using smoked bacon.
  • Use fresh ranch seasoning or make your own with herbs and spices for a homemade touch.
  • Substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • Ensure pasta is completely cooled before mixing to prevent wilting the lettuce.
  • This salad tastes better after resting overnight, so prepare a day ahead if possible.
